BENEFITING: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
John W Hart was the type of guy who would decide on a whim to run a marathon -- and then do it a few weeks later.
John completed the Marine Corps Marathon three times, a testament to his love of running and another way in which he followed in his father's footsteps. John's father, Hank, ran the Marine Corps Marathon 19 times between 1977 and 2010. His brother, James, and sister, Mariah, also have completed the marathon.
On Nov. 17, 2013, we lost a great son, brother and friend. Please join us in honoring and remembering John W Hart in 2014 by donating or running with us.
We hope to raise money in John's name to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project. Hank, James and John all served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
We would first like to thank the many who have donated money to this cause. It means so much to us all. We started this venture with the goal of raising $5,000, and have since surpassed that goal. Now, we set our sights on $10,000 ahead of October's Marine Corps Marathon.
John's girlfriend, Hilary, and friends hope to run the Marine Corps Marathon in October. Hilary was able to secure a spot through the lottery, however many of us are looking for bibs to enter. We would appreciate any help in finding an entry to the race.
Please join us in honoring and remembering John W Hart, and thank you again for your support. #MCM4JWH
