BENEFITING: METROPOLITAN COLLEGE OF NEW YORK
Your donation will help an adult student change his or her path in life by earning an MCNY degree.
Founded in 1964 by my mother, Audrey Cohen, to empower low income and minority adults to improve their lives and their communities, MCNY continues to educate student populations that are neither well-represented in nor well-served by traditional colleges. MCNY is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the same organization that accredits Columbia, NYU and Johns Hopkins. Our commitment to social justice challenges us to provide this education at an affordable cost, but many MCNY students graduate with substantial debt. Your contribution now will help to speed more students toward graduation and further success.
MCNY's graduation rate is higher than 8 of the 11 CUNY colleges, including City College and Hunter. Our students persist and perform well after graduation because our programs fit their professional, work and family needs in ways that other programs do not. This integrated curriculum brings practical focus to each semester.
This success is based on a unique combination of classroom learning and on-the-job practice that we call Purpose-Centered Education. Purpose-Centered Education offers students a faster, more relevant and more effective route to the associate, bachelor's and master's degrees.
MCNY links learning with action to improve the world.

Thank you for joining me in supporting this exceptional college, which makes a whole new future possible for so many hard-working adults and their families.
