McPherson County Humane Society Fundraiser - Sponsored by Kathy Marihugh (Volunteer)
June 30, 2016
Please help gather funds!! The shelter desperately needs some improvements. They need air conditioning, windows that open, a ventilation system, a roof, building upgrades, pen upgrades, and much more, and funds are always running low, as they rely solely on donations. Please, please, donate or help if you can! The cats and staff appreciate everything you give, and promise to stretch it as far as possible. I am currently a volunteer at the McPherson County Humane Society and I am starting this Fundraier to help and organization that is near and dear to MY heart!
The time has come for some major building uprades and improvements and I am asking for the community's help! Often times the improvements are overlooked, because care and treatment, and even the animals safety becomes the number one priority for the staff at the McPherson County Humane Society. They are caring for many cats and dogs, that need homes and urgent care.
As a community we can no longer ignore the fact that their air conditioner is just not working and the windows in the old church and cat sanctuary are the old paned glass that was built into the wood and doesn't open for proper ventilation. Help make a difference for this shelter and in the way the the shelter cats live day to day. Some may never leave the only place they have ever known as home, and you can make a difference in how they live. Quality of life is key. Thanks in advance.
From their website:
The McPherson County Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization supported entirely by donations. We provide food, shelter, medical care and love to lost and unwanted animals until a permanent home can be found. We have found loving homes for all kinds of animals including elderly dogs and cats with physical limitations, as well as animals that have been abused. Our volunteers investigate countless cases of abuse and neglect that occur within the city and county. Adoptable cats are cared for in our shelter by employees and volunteers, and our adoptable dogs are fostered in homes, by caring families.
