BENEFITING: Muscular Dystrophy Association
ORGANIZER: Muscular Dystrophy Association
On Nov. 2, 2014, I will be running the NYC Marathon for the first time with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in honor of Wesley Denniston!
In 2006 when I lived in NYC, my roommate convinced me to go watch the marathon with her. We stood around mile 22, and had a blast cheering our hearts out for the runners. They all inspired me so much that I went out for my very first run that day. I ran one mile that night, and I've been running ever since.
This marathon already means so much to me, but I wanted it to mean even more to someone else. Wesley Denniston is 6 years old, and he knows what it means to be a fighter. He has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which means he will face many challenges in his life. Donations to the MDA will help with research for cures and treatments, providing kids like Wesley more opportunities to face those challenges.
Please help me make a difference in honor of Wesley, and make a donation to the MDA today! Click on the orange "donate" button on the left, or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you'd prefer to mail a check.
