MDC- The Healing Power of Dance
Organized by: Angie Vitus
The Minnesota Dance Collaborative (MDC) is a distinctive, glamorous dance group featuring high-kick precision jazz, classical jazz, contemporary, hip hop, musical theater and tap. MDC strives to provide performance opportunities to talented artists with an inspired, community-centered focus. This year, they would like to help spread the love of dancing beyond traditional audiences and reach out to local Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics through Breanna's Gift. Their mission is bringing smiles to the faces of children with cancer and other serious illnesses through the magic of the arts. Through dance and art classes at Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota on the St. Paul and Minneapolis Campuses and University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, children can take a costume and shoes with them at the end of the dance class. The funds raised here will be used to purchase materials (elastic, tulle material, sequin fabric and embellishments) to make beautiful tutus. MDC dancers know first hand the healing power of dance and hope to spread some cheer through their costume donation. Thank you for your contribution and support!
