BENEFITING: Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress
ORGANIZER: Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
Thank you for supporting the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC) and my effort to raise $2500 for the MDSC in honor of my son's friend Lucas.
My family and I became involved with the MDSC while living in Boston. The MDSC has provided important support to Lucas and other families impacted by Down Syndrome.
I previously ran in support of MDSC in 2013.
I was hoping to return to run during the largest Boston marathon in history in 2014, but had a work conflict.
In April 2015, I will again be running in support of Lucas and the MDSC.
Thank you for your support!

The Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress strives to ensure all individuals with Down syndrome are valued, included, and given opportunities to lead meaningful lives in the community by providing information, networking opportunities, and advocacy for people with Down syndrome and their families, educators, health care professionals, and the community-at-large.
Since 2012, the MDSC has been an official charity of the John Hancock™ Non-Profit Marathon Program. We are proud to return as an official charity for the renowned 2015 Boston Marathon™ and are grateful for the charity bibs we received from the John Hancock™ Non-Profit Marathon Program for the 119th Boston Marathon.
Each year, Team MDSC raises significant awareness and funds that directly support our programs and services, such as Parents First Call, AIM: Teen and Young Adult Program, the Self-Advocate Advisory Council, Educational Resources, and our local and national advocacy efforts to improve the lives of all individuals with Down syndrome.
Our runners are passionate, self-less, and dedicated individuals who want to raise awareness and funds for the MDSC so we can improve the lives of people with Down syndrome. To read more about our runners and donate directly to them, click on the pages in “The Team” section below.
