I'm running the 2015 Race for the Cure on Saturday June 6th in honor of my mother Elaine, a 16 year breast cancer survivor and my good friend Krista who is still fighting. Both are extraordinary women and I admire them for their perseverance and strength in fighting this disease.
Race for the Cure Greater Hartford started in 1994 and has remained a staple in the Greater Hartford community ever since. Through funds raised by our Race participants, Komen Connecticut has contributed to funding more than $23 million in breast cancer research, local education, screening and treatment. Every dollar raised by Race for the Cure makes a lasting impact in the fight against breast cancer.
Did you know that Connecticut has the HIGHEST incidence of breast cancer in the U.S. with over 3,000 Connecticut women diagnosed annually? Komen Connecticut needs YOU as a part of our crusade to end breast cancer forever. Your fundraising efforts will help save the lives of Connecticut women.
More treatment. More research. More survivors. A cure.
