BENEFITING: American Red Cross
Measles is a contagious, yet preventable disease that kills approximately 330 children per day worldwide.
The Red Cross has partnered with the World Health Organization, the United Nations Foundation, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and UNICEF to create the Measles and Rubella Initiative and work towards eliminating measles and rubella once and for all.
Since 2001, the Initiative has supported 80 countries to deliver more than 1.1 billion doses of measles vaccine, helped to raise measles vaccination coverage to 84% globally, and reduced measles deaths by 71%.
The Central New York chapter of the Red Cross wants to be a part of this amazing progress!
With just $1, you can vaccinate a child, with $10 a family, and with $500 an entire village - so give what you can and help us vaccinate a village!
