Medical and School expenses
Organized by: Kevin Standiford
On June 20, 2016 a close friend of mine was hit by a drunk driver while setting at a stop light on her way home from work. The drunk driver cut across two lanes of traffic and hit my friend at about 35 mph. While the photos of the truck don't appear to be that bad, the truck was totalled. The driver's side door did impact her. She has hired a lawyer to help collect what she is entitled to from the insurance company, it is still is going to be a long time before she receives any money. Meanwhile, she is having to deal with the doctors, physical rehab, lost wages, medication cost and a loss of transportation.
She could really use some help until this is resolved. She has had to get a new vehicle and out of pocket expenses have taken their toll. She works as much as she can, but has to miss frequently for Dr appts, physical therapy and due to headaches, back pain and dizzy spells she has been having since the accident. She is also going to school still and had to change from on campus classes to on-line classes which added an additional 2000.00 + books to her Tuition. She has really been stressed out over finances and staying healthy, working and staying in school as she is determined to finish, because her mother was so proud of her for going back and she is determined to finish for that reason, also she says to prove to her grandchildren that education is important and should be gotten no matter how old. If you can see it in your hearts to help her, I know it will be much appreciated and she will be forever grateful. She does not know I am doing this, and she will be embarrassed when she finds out, but I really want to help and this wa all I can think of to do for her. Thank you and God Bless you.
