Todd, Diana, and Stephanie are traveling to Luang Prabang, Laos this summer to visit Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC), founded by Friends Without A Border (Friends). Now in its second year of operations, the hospital has already treated over 15,000 children and continues to expand its services to help even more children. However, the hospital is still procuring funds and equipment to open its Surgery Department later this year, as well as an eventual Intensive Care Unit.
Much of the hospital equipment and supplies are simply unavailable in Laos or too expensive abroad, so we are hosting a joint fundraiser to buy medical supplies, equipment, and text books, and bring them over to Laos this summer! The equipment that we will be purchasing is here: http://file.fwab.org/InKind4.11.16.pdf
Your donation is 100% tax-deductible and you will be issued an official acknowledgement from Friends Without A Border. Friends' first hospital, Angkor Hospital for Children, in Siem Reap, Cambodia, has already treated over 1.6 million children and has been named only one of three essential hospitals in the entire country. We are working to help LFHC reach the same success!
