Organized by: Geoffrey Mbona
This year the scouts fraternity is celebrating 100 years of their existence in Uganda. Campfire Logs, a local fellowship of former scouts and guides, has chosen to celebrate this centenary jubilee in a ten day expedition dubbed: ‘100 Years and Beyond Scouts Fellowship Challenge’ from 14th -23rd August, 2015. There will be 4 main activities of the 10-day Expedition: 1. 100 participants walking 300km by foot from the birth place of scouts in Mbarara-Uganda to Kaazi National Camping site. 2. The participants going through several challenges and community activities along the way. 3. Planting 2 forest gardens along the way; thus contributing to the ‘Go Green’ campaign. 4. Conducting four 3-day medical camps in different areas along the expedition route. We hereby invite you to contribute towards the organisation of the medical camps which are aimed at providing free medical care to impoverished communities which are not served by the Uganda healthcare system. Your contribution will be acknowledged at the camps and in our magazine., printed fliers and online through our facebook and website.
