We are a group of physician assistant (PA) students at the University of Bridgeport. This January, we are planning a medical mission trip to Quetzaltenango, Guatemala where we will be working in a local clinic that provides free health care to underprivileged families. We will be providing check-ups to neonates and children, checking vital signs and counseling patients on healthy lifestyle and disease prevention. This clinic is government-run and they are in dire need of help. Their supplies are sparse and are under-staffed.
The cost of the trip is quite high, and any assistance you are willing to provide will help us to achieve our goal. In addition to the cost of the trip itself, we are looking to raise enough money in hopes of donating additional medical supplies to provide to the struggling clinic.
