Medical School Debt
Organized by: Brandon Henley
I currently work in a small town in Iowa and I am looking to relocate to an even smaller town, in greater need, in Nebraska. I am a family practice provider who has been out of school for 2 years now and struggle with the burden of debt caused by me taking out student loans to pay my way through school. My family was not in position to assist me and the time I spent working for extra money came nowhere close to my needs during the education process. Through self-financing my undergraduate and medical school education, and becoming a primary care physician, you would think that I would not have to struggle, but the amount and length of time that the loans were deferred for in order to complete medical training, has created an unexpected monster. All that I am looking for is relief from my student loan debt. None of this money will be used for other bills/debts. I will close this donation site immediately after my student loans are completely paid off. I do not wish to profit from this process and will donate any excess that remains to another person with student loan debt who is also in need. I plan to continue to pay this generosity forward throughout the years to come. I will look for others in need of student loan debt relief through crowdfunding sites, when I am in a position to do so, as I firmly believe that paying it forward is one of the most important things we can do for each other.
