Evalyne is from Nairobi, and is one of 10 kids raised by a single mom in a small two bedroom house. Living in Nairobi naturally forced Evalyne to become independent at a very young age. As her mother was typically busy with the rest of her siblings, Evalyne learned to navigate the urban chaos of Nairobi on her own.
In the part of the city where they live, access to clean water is not readily available, and her and her brothers had to make the long trek often to find there was no water left.
In her own words, Evalyne is a “no nonsense girl when it is time to be serious.”
Evalyne is a creative, honest, and sharp-minded young woman. She loves playing basketball, enjoys drawing, and also likes to sing. She enjoys traveling and serving people and sees herself as an air hostess in the future. And as she says “I like studying hard to achieve the goals I have already set.”
