BENEFITING: TAALUMA PROJECT INC
How far would you walk to get a better education? Many children around the world walk great lengths just to get to school. On average students in Kenya have to walk 6.5 miles a day to school everyday. Inspired by their determination to better their education, while I am in Lugano,Switzerland my goal is to walk/run (mostly walk) six miles a day to see how it feels to walk in the shoes of a child in Kenya.
In a few short months, I will be able to witness first hand the lifestyles of these children while I volunteer at the Bambakofi school in Kenya. Along with 12 other Virginia Tech students, I will be spending two weeks in Kenya with children of all ages, teaching them lifeskills in and outside of the classroom, and in return I will be learning about their culture.
Help me support the Taaluma Project's mission to support motivated and academically accomplished underprivileged students in the coastal region of Kenya to attend and excel at the secondary and university level. To learn more about the Taaluma Project vist http://www.taalumaproject.org/!
By helping me fundraise for the Taaluma Project, your money will go to bettering the education of the students at the Bambakofi school in Kenya. Most of the children in Kenya do not have the means to continue from primary school to secondary school. Help them fufill their passion for learning and create a future by donating today!
Stay tuned and watch me #TROT4TAALUMA!
