BENEFITING: PET HARBOR RESCUE & REFERRAL INC
Mella came to Pet Harbor in December 2014. Her former owners dumped her in a shelter because they couldn't afford her medical care. She badly injured her tail somehow while in their care and the vet determined it had to be amputated :(
NOW this poor girl needs to have cruciate lateral imbrication surgery. She has rupture of the canine cranial cruciate ligament (CCL), which resulted in complete joint instability (knee). If this goes untreated she could go lame & it can
result in degenerative joint disease, etc. This type of injury is similar an ACL injury in humans.
Please help us help this poor girl. She needs a break!
