Menas's Chance at Success
Organized by: LaVeda Garrett
My daughter, Mena, just turned 16 and will be attending 12th grade this year. She is a very bright girl, and is on her way to a bright future. Her counselor and I, have already begun applying for colleges. We decided that it would be more reasonable for her to first attend a local community college and then transfer to a university because of her age and also because of my finances. I am a single mother trying to provide a better chance at life for my children than what I had. I am the sole provider for them. I do not want my daughter to miss out on her dream of becoming a doctor just because her mom couldn't afford it. Please help.
