Mentor2Youth was founded in 2011 on an idea of how mentoring programs should be facilitated for youth. Through a research project working with seven young males that involved dual mentoring (academics and personal support), the goal was to see how this type of mentoring would have a major impact on a child’s school performance and behavior. Based on amazing results, the project was developed into a non-profit. Since then, Mentor2Youth has served 500+ boys and girls across Washtenaw County and surrounding cities through providing school-to-career pathway programs. Through after school tutoring, mentoring, job training and college/career prep programs, we serve 125-150 youth annually ages 8-18. Our vision is to provide a school-to-career pipeline for youth we serve by 2022.
