Today the world is a smaller place, both technologically and socially. The
world does not operate the same and neither can we. Revolution's occur in
Islamic countries due to the power of social networking, regardless, mission
agencies in these same countries are digging their heels in with the model
of colonization that came from the Imperial era, Mercy Partners empowers
native evangelists and uses today's technology to reach the lost. Project
proposals, field reports, and photographs are sent over the internet, which
in turn, leaves valuable relationship building and leadership training time
for when our "sandals" are "on the ground." Accountability results in
dignity which greatly empowers the native evangelist. We have found many
benefits to operating this way:
• Our donors, (also known as fellow "Mercy Partners") are strengthened
through frequent reports and weekly prayer request.
• We are avoiding the common pitfalls of native dependency.
• Projects are done in the name of Christ by the local church which
gives God the glory.
• We can grow from a larger platform and remain flexible to the needs of
a region to provide Mercy as issues develop.
