Given the present state of emergency of the Mexican population caused by the hurricanes Igrid and Manuel, and the heavy rain that caused landslides and flooding. The Young Chapter of the AEM have developed a fundraising strategy to help our Mexican brothers and sisters who are in need of all of our support more than ever.

Thank you for your help!
Lets unite all the Mexicans in the Republic and abroad to the cause!

Thank you for reaching out to the Red Cross with your desire to help those impacted by the Mexico Storms and Floods.

More than 1 million people in Mexico have been impacted by Hurricanes Manuel and Ingrid, which struck last week. The storms made landfall on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts bringing torrential rain, flooding, high winds and landslides. Flooding and landslides have affected 20 of Mexico’s 32 states damaging infrastructure including roads, airports and communication systems. More than 90 people are confirmed dead as of September 23rd, and many more are missing.

The Mexican Red Cross is responding to the needs of affected populations across the country and the American Red Cross is supporting that response. To date, the Mexican Red Cross has distributed 350 tons of relief supplies and mobilized 7,200 volunteers to support the response. Current response efforts are focused on providing food to those stranded by the flooding. Once water levels lower, the Mexican Red Cross plans to distribute kitchen sets, hygiene kits and clean-up kits. The American Red Cross is in close contact with our counterparts in Mexico and is working with the Mexican Red Cross to reconnect families in the U.S. with relatives in

the disaster-affected areas.

The American Red Cross is providing an initial contribution of $150,000 for the Mexico storms and floods, and is accepting contributions to support the work of the Mexican Red Cross. Your gift to the American Red Cross will support our disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the storms and floods in Mexico. On those rare occasions when donations exceed American Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.
