The mission of Mental Health America of Greater Tarrant County is to enhance the mental health of the community and improve the lives of those impacted by mental illness.

We work hard to make our community healthier and happier.

Mental Health America of Greater Tarrant County has a long and exceptional history of providing services since 1942, and was incorporated as a nonprofit agency in 1958

Mental Health America of Greater Tarrant County cares about the mental wellness within the community. We strive to enhance mental health and improve the lives of those impacted by mental health. We believe in building awareness and education in our community.

We recognize that mental health issues do not discriminate and could affect us and our loved ones at any time. Each of us is challenged daily as we strive for balance in our lives and look for ways to cope successfully. We all benefit from a happier and healthier community; and it is your support that enables us to improve the emotional well-being and health of the people you know throughout Tarrant County.

Providing services to Tarrant and surrounding Counties. Services include: Information & Referral; Peer Support Program; Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP); Free Counseling to veterans and their families; Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) Team; and Community Education.
