This is a campaign to encourage generosity and it will manifest in a lot of different ways. Generosity can be more than a donation – it could be time, acts of kindness, or even the power of your voice. We will measure generosity as “impACTS” not just donations.
A core planning group has developed a local marketing campaign, and the BigDGives.org platform to track activity and other resources. However, it is ultimately up to companies, non-profit organizations and Dallas citizens to provide the energy needed to achieve campaign success. The national #GivingTuesday team at New York City’s 92nd Street Y has asked United Way of Metropolitan Dallas to coordinate a Dallas campaign. They plan tohighlight Dallas as one of the most giving cities in national media.
