On 24 June, I will participate in the Tusk Safaricom Marathon by running a ½ Marathon through The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. It is an annual race organized to raise funds to the Tusk organization. A charity that supports projects in 19 African countries, aiming to protect threatened wildlife species and reduce poverty through sustainable development and education amongst the local communities who live alongside the wildlife.
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is receiving support from Tusk to protect their Rhinos and other wildlife from poachers and to create new secure habitats for Rhinos in Kenya.
I have so many great memories of watching the wildlife first hand in their natural habitat in Africa and I wish for everyone to have that experience. First step must be to secure the existence of the species! I am hoping to raise at least USD 1,000 for the cause. You can help me to reach that number by donating to Tusk through my page Michael Runs for Rhinos on crowdrise!
I will be grateful for every single donation – big or small – it all counts!
