Thank you for supporting the Miracle League of the South Hills, our players, and our runners!

You are part of something miraculous. We are honored to have you on our team! Thanks for brightening our day; here is something to brighten yours!

Miracle League Athlete and Runner Highlight:
“James is an amazing boy who was born with spina bifida, hydrocephalus and chiari malformation. When he was 6 months old, he was diagnosed with cancer. At 18 months, he developed epilepsy. Despite these challenges he has faced, James is determined to keep up with his best friends, his 3 brothers! James is determined to play baseball just like his brothers. The confidence James has gained from playing at the Miracle League Field is truly immeasurable.

Like last year, James will be walking the Pittsburgh Kids Marathon at his own pace with his brothers. Watching this little boy, whom doctors said would never walk; come across the finish line with his brothers was an unbelievably emotional moment for our family. Please think of James' story as you donate or run for the Casey’s Clubhouse Miracle League marathon team. And when you think you can’t go another mile, think about James, who pushes on in spite of his limitations!”

Thanks for being a part of our team!

You are always welcome to join us at the field for spring ball to see everything our athletes are achieving!

A thank you from a Miracle League mom:

What can I possibly say about the Miracle League besides it is Kody’s absolute favorite thing to do in the entire world! YOU are Kody’s hero for making this happen! Kody has a seizure disorder called Hemimegalencephaly and had thousands of seizures a day until half of his brain was removed. At the Miracle League though, he has no limitations. At the Miracle League Kody is just the shortstop for the Dodgers. Baseball and hanging out with the kids on the field make Kody truly “feel” typical. He looks forward to every single game. As soon as the game ends, it is all he talks about all week long! This is the one sport that he can play. He can’t wait to tell everyone that he hit a home run. (Even if the ball moved less than an inch from the T.) This place is a pure miracle. The excitement on my child’s face after each game brings tears to my eyes. After his last surgery, when he had pins and screws removed from both ankles. He only waited 4 days and his team was playing under the lights, he came to the game and wasn’t feeling well but he said, “Mom, My team needs me!” Everyone there cheered for him. It was amazing! Without baseball and the miracle league I really can’t imagine what else he would be doing. He just LOVES to be part of a team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Welcome to OUR team!

If you’re ever looking for a little motivation, feel free to join us during the spring season and see what our kids and adults can do!
