To all of my donors that mad…
To all of my donors that made this trip possible:

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I arrived back from my trip this past Sunday around 2pm and went right back to work yesterday. The trip was absolutely unbelievable and I am working on compiling all 30 GB of photos/videos along with typing up my notes from every day of the trip so that everyone can see what an amazing place ghana is. Also I think it will give a better picture to where your hard earned and donated money went.

I can not express how thankful I am for the donations you gave and for the opportunity of a lifetime to go on this trip. I am forever changed and plan to continue my path in the following years to become more of a solar expert and hopefully do another project like this for a longer amount of time in a couple of years.

Before I go, here is a quick quote from Chief Abudu. He was the chief of our village of Kpenshangu (Penshau). He was unable to make our meeting with the elders where we asked permission to come and work with them and when we asked them to pick to two women entrepreneurs. He was meeting with other chiefs and helping others so he was unable to make it. When we met with him after, this is what he said: "I wish I was able to be there because I would have stressed this to them. There is a shift in the consciousness of the african culture currently to realize that they (the people in the villages) deserve it (clean water, electricity, etc). True knowledge is not knowing English or how to read or write..but rather it is the recognition of who you are and what you need to do and if you explain that this is theirs and that they need to work with you for it, that they will appreciate it and make it their own. And those who have knowledge and do not share it with others will be cursed by god whether they know it or not. And it is your job with knowledge to pass it on to others and facilitate that change."

So, once again, thank you so much for helping me make this trip a reality. So that we were able to help the villagers in northern tamale and so that they could help me as well. And please, realize that the change you can make in this world is much more than you know.
