BENEFITING: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
EVENT: TD Five Boro Bike Tour 2014
EVENT DATE: May 04, 2014
For the 3rd year in a row, I will be riding in the TD Five Boro Race (http://www.bikenewyork.org/ride/five-boro-bike-tour/) to raise money for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
For those of you who are not familiar, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast free of charge. The Camp helps children battling cancer, sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDs and other serious illnesses to fight isolation and fear with fun, friendship and joy.
The Camp served 288 children in its first summer. In 2013, through Camp programs, year-round outreach to hospitals and clinics and ongoing services, the Camp will serve more than 20,000 children and families thanks to thegenerosity of friends like you.
This cause is near and dear to my heart as while living in Toronto I volunteered for a similar organization (Camp Oochigeas- http://www.ooch.org) and experienced first hand the impact of camp and other community activities for children battling these challenges - it is truly incredible!
Please join me in supporting this important mission with your tax-deductible gift.
Many thanks for your support and encouragement!
As the raise is only 2 weeks away, if you have the ability to donate it would be great if you could do so within the couple of weeks and apologies for the short notice.
