This fundraiser is to raise awareness about Postpartum Mood Disorders. I was diagnosed with Postpartum Anxiety and Postpartum OCD after my first child (Tyler, 6) was born in 2010. I was in a very dark place and struggled immensely from the time of his birth until my son was about 8 months old. It wasn't until my son was about 4 before I felt as though I had finally "climbed out of the darkness" and defeated this monster. I suffered in silence like most other moms who experience these types of disorders because of the fear of what would happen to my child or I if I told anyone about the thoughts and feelings I was having. I'm hoping that by raising awareness with others about Postpartum Mood Disorders that we can hopefully knock out the stigma that surrounds it in hopes that new mothers will feel more comfortable opening up and asking for the help they so desperately need. Please help me reach my goal of $100 by clicking the blue DONATE button. Thanks for visiting my page.
