Michelle Kay grew up in Reading, Massachusetts and currently resides in Boston’s North End. Michelle works in the Boston area as an occupational therapist for the older adult population in a skilled nursing facility. She is an alumni of Ithaca College, where she received both her undergraduate and post-graduate degrees.
As an area native and longtime runner, Michelle knows the immense pride the city has for the marathon tradition and it has always been a dream of hers to participate. Her passion for running began in high school when she joined the track team. She then decided she would someday run the Boston Marathon, and continued running ever since. She is extremely excited to have the opportunity to complete this goal on April 17, 2017 on behalf Boston Partners in Education. As a former elementary school teacher’s assistant, she has seen firsthand the impact that individualized attention can have on student growth and academic success, which is why she is so committed to supporting the work of Boston Partners. She hopes you will consider joining her in support of the organization so that they can serve more students throughout the city.
