I just wanted to say thank you again for your support not only to just me, but to best buddies. I had the best time one can have running a marathon in this crazy new england weather. Through your efforts, our marathon team will raise in excess of $70,000 to support our efforts. Thanks again for help making inclusion possible for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Mass!

We would like to thank all o…
We would like to thank all of you for your generous support of Spaulding Rehabilitation and our run of the 2014 Boston Marathon. We are very excited that, with your help, we have exceeded our $6,000 fundraising goal and have raised $6,934 dollars to support the work that the incredible crew at Spaulding does to assist patients and their families with a return to life after tragedy. We had over 90 donors come together to support this one cause so that we could "run for those that can't". For many, thanks to you, we can add, "yet" to that statement.

In running the Boston Marathon, it was clear that this Marathon was a team effort. We know that all of you generously gave whatever you could to support Boston during this show of resilience and resolve. You should know that people in our City lined our streets for hours cheering, giving supplies like ice and food and demonstrating amazing energy. On the T and walking around, complete strangers stopped to thank us for running and taking back our Boston. We had a lot of people say to us that they were now thinking about running :) While a lot of bad happens in the world, Marathon Monday was truly a show of the beauty and grit of the human spirit.

Margo had a great race. She ran consistent miles and showed her true spirit by exciting the crowd as she ran. Mile 23 was her most difficult moment but she stuck with it for an amazing finish (from a first time Marathoner!) 4:03. Julie is trying to convince Margo to train for other races because she thinks she could win :) Julie had a tough race, feeling pretty sick from the start. She and her running partner, Sally Stukuls (a fellow teacher and very good friend) stuck together and ran and walked the miles to get it done. The crowd support really got them through. The best part of the race was really the time that Julie and Margo got to spend with their parents Jim and Fran who flew all the way to Boston and stayed on the course for hours cheering their daughters on. The time that the family spent together is really a priceless gift to be cherished.

We want you to know that your participation as donors and supporters will never be forgotten. We are so grateful and humbled by your support. The memories of your generosity, Boston, the Marathon, Spaulding and our time with our family will be forever linked in our memory and is something to treasure for as long as we live.

Thank you.

Hi,
With the marathon only 3 weeks away I wanted to thank everyone again for donating to my cause. I am currently 14% over my fundraiser goal. My training has gone well. This past weekend I ran from Hopkington to Brighton for a total of 23 miles. It was a little windy but everything went well so I know I will be ready come marathon Monday.

If you would like to follow my progress during the race on baa.org my bib number is 30,090. I am in wave 4, corral 4 so I will be starting shortly after 11:25. Thanks again for the donations. Here’s hoping for a great day.

Thanks
