Please help a woman in Senegal, West Africa to provide for her family by supporting this Micro-loan program. This program is severely underfunded and needs to raise $10,000 before the end of June in order to support commitments made to these business women. It starts by forming a gathering of women in a village. The women have the opportunity to borrow small amounts of money with a low interest rate. They use their loan to undertake various income-generating activities. They do small trades such as soap-making, animal husbandry, tailoring, and tie-dye. As their businesses grows, they become more independent and their family’s living condition (food, clothing, and education for their children) is improved. Currently, there are 11 women’s groups which include 175 women in three villages. The women are faithful in repaying their loans which is very encouraging. Without our help, the women will not receive the loans they have been promised. The program is managed by Partners International and their partner, The Inter-Senegal Mission.
