The beneficiaries for the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stairclimb have been carefully selected because of the established and profound impact they make while supporting the families of the fallen. Participants are encouraged to gather a minimum of $1.00 per floor in pledges. The financial support our beneficiaries gathered from our event can be some of the largest that they receive throughout the year, and therefore most important. Please keep this in mind as you consider your support of the Midlothian Fire Department as we honor the 343 firefighters who died in the response to the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01 and others who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
As of June 1, 2013, there have been 21 Firefighters that have died in the line of duty in 2013. From the explosion in West to the hotel fire in Houston, several multiple fatality incidents have claimed the lives of these brave men and women who serve our communities so that others may live. Please help us honor their sacrifice by considering a contribution to the Texas LODD Task Force and coming out to the 3rd Annual Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stairclimb being held at the Renaissance Tower in Downtown Dallas on Saturday, September 7th, 2013.
