Mighty Mabel needs your help. She's our child. Please help!
Organized by: Amy Roden
Mighty Mabel is a 5 month old chihuahua. My wife and I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. She is not just a pet, she is our child and my registered service animal. We both have severe PTSD and she helps us in ways that nothing else could. She does more good for us than the medicines that we are prescribed for our condition. Last night I caught her chewing a dental floss toothpick. I thought I got if from her in time but now I'm not so sure. She began drooling profusely and dry heaving a little. She is showing all the signs of some kind of obstruction. Walking hunched, crying and wimpering. We are a stable lesbian couple we have been together for 13 years and married for two. She is our baby. I don't know exactly how much diagnosis and treatment will be but as far as we can tell it's going to be around $2000- $3000 and we don't have nearly enough saved up. She really is the closest thing to a child will ever have. She's just a baby and we can't loose her. Shes always there for us, she knows the triggers and signs of our PTSD and alway springs straight into action. Waking me up from night terrors, distracting us from the things that trigger our PTSD. She is always by my side and would do anything to ease my panic and anxiety. Now it's our turn to come to her aid and I just don't have that kinda cash on hand. She gives selflessly to us everyday. Please help us save our baby. We need her and owe it to her to do whatever it takes to save her.
