Miguel Morales is owner of 1885 Grill, the newest addition to the St. Elmo community. After spending 16 years of planning and training as managing partner at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Miguel decided to step out on his own and bring traditional coastal Southern fare with a touch of Spanish influence to Chattanooga. 1885 is family oriented and a tasty destination for friends and co workers where guests can sit indoors in the back dining room and watch chefs work through the kitchen’s viewing window, relax in the front dining room where a breeze comes in through the rollup door, or enjoy the beautiful weather of the valley on the restaurant’s patio. Each meal is prepared with exacting attention to fresh, local ingredients, beautiful presentation, and friendly service.
Having been a long-time supporter of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County (CACHC) during his time at Carrabba’s, Miguel has now jumped on board to get behind the agency again, first as a sponsor of the agency’s two signature events: A Song for the Children and Fish & Chips, and now as a Dunkee! During his spare time, Miguel enjoys spending time with his wife, Leslie, and daughter, Bria. Miguel invites and challenges all of his friends, family, colleagues, and customers to help him support the CACHC by making a donation through his Dunked 2014 online giving page and encourages everyone to come out and take their chance at putting him in the water!
