Nearly 8 years after my last donation, I've decided to make another donation. Over the course of the next year or so, I'll be growing my hair in order to donate the required 10 inches (or more). I'll be doing the cut around Christmas 2014.
Since I've donated my hair 8 years ago, I've been a supporter of Locks of Love every year. Now, I'm asking my friends, family, colleagues and anyone else to support me in my quest to raise $2,500 for Locks of Love, in addition to hair.
As a young business professional, growing my hair long will likely be an uncomfortable process. But, the odd looks and comments I'll likely receive in the next year or so are incomparable to what children living with cancer go through. If I can raise awareness, funds and hair so that children living with cancer can feel like others their age, this will all be worth it.
Please help and support my campaign and donate anything you can afford! Even just a few dollars will help. If we hit my goal, I'll be throwing a party for all donors to attend to watch the big cut. If we raise a lot more than the goal, maybe I'll even raise the stakes and perhaps make a joint donation to St. Baldricks as well and go for a full shave!
If anyone else is interested in doing this with me, please contact me.
