We are having our first race in the Chicago area as part of The Gerald Subaru Rooster 5K & Fling Mile at the 2016 Naperville Jaycees Last Fling. Please sign up here, after you make an optional donation. We hope you will join us to create some “big noise” in the community and raise the awareness of migraine and headache disorder as more than “just a headache”. We will gather as a Community at The Gerald Subaru Rooster 5K & Fling Mile at the 2016 Naperville Jaycees Last Fling to participate in either The Fling Mile or RUN the 5k on Labor Day, September 5. PLEASE NOTE - THE ONE MILE IS NOT A WALK, AS STATED ON OUR POSTER, IT IS A RUN. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE MISTAKE.
Please bring your family and friends to support you. Please visit our website to learn more about Miles for Migraine, and sign up for our Newsletter.

Will you please consider sponsoring a program that has a mission that is close to home for my family and me?
Miles for Migraine is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of patients with migraine, and their families, and ultimately to help find a cure. Migraines are not "just a headache", but a serious neurological disease which the WHO ranks among the top 20 causes in the world of years of healthy life lost to disability. With acute attacks ranging from mild to severely debilitating, migraine can over time, become progressive in both frequency and severity and has the potential to become a chronic condition with significant disability. In a 2004 report the WHO classified severe migraine in the highest category of disability along with quadriplegia and terminal stage cancer. Whatever the level of severity I can unfortunately tell you from personal experience that migraine profoundly impacts a sufferer’s life, self-esteem, family and livelihood.
Miles for Migraine produces a 5K/10K run and 2-Mile walk in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2008 to raise awareness and funding toward the severity of migraine. They are looking to expand their Race Series across the U.S. and I am in participating in the Chicago race on September 5, 2016.
For more information about Miles for Migraine you can visit www.milesformigraine.com.
Miles for Migraine’s nonprofit tax ID is 01-0910791 and they produce one of the only migraine related runs in the United States. Please help us spread the message that migraine is not "just a headache".
Many thanks for your support.
