BENEFITING: World Pediatric Project
My name is Emma Ballantyne and I need your help to raise funds for World Pediatric Project. I am a 15 year old junior and Track & Field athlete at St. Catherine's School in Richmond, Virginia. Although I was born here in Richmond, both of my parents are from St. Vincent and the Grenadines - a small multi-island nation in the Caribbean where I spent the first 9 years of my life. I first met Susan Rickman, the CEO of World Pediatric Project (WPP) when I was two years old, and over the years WPP has facilitated more than $18,000,000 in surgical and diagnostic care for nearly 2,700 children from St. Vincent. WPP provides this care by sending teams of doctors to St. Vincent to evaluate children and do surgery for them right there at home, as well as brings children with very complicated conditions to the U.S. for surgery at partner hospitals. Without the commitment of the doctors who volunteer their time and talent through WPP, many of those children would not have been able to afford the treatment and care they received. St. Vincent and the Grenadines is very much a part of who I am and I would like to make a contribution to support the work of this amazing organization. This is why I'm dedicating my 2016 outdoor track season to raising funds for Vincentian kids who will be helped by WPP in the future. My target is $1,000 so please make a donation to help me reach my goal. Go Saints, Go WPP!!!
