BENEFITING: MELANOMA RESEARCH FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 04, 2012
On November 4, 2012 I will run my first marathon. I am thrilled to be part of the Melanoma Research Foundation Team and will be working hard to not only cross the finish line, but more importantly to fundraise for such an important charity. I will be running in loving memory of my father, Larry Housden, who lost his battle with Melanoma in 1997.
The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is the largest independent, national organization devoted to melanoma in the United States. Committed to the support of medical research in finding effective treatments and eventually a cure for melanoma, the MRF also educates patients and physicians about prevention, diagnosis and the treatment of melanoma. The MRF is an active advocate for the melanoma community, helping to raise awareness of this disease and the need for a cure.
