Children’s Hospital Boston’s Miles for Miracles program celebrates its 16th year at the 116th Boston Marathon. As a member of Children’s Miles for Miracles Team, runners have an extra incentive to push them across the finish line: helping children and families who receive world-class care at Children’s.
Miles for Miracles team members raise funds for Children’s Hospital Boston’s areas of greatest need: patient care; medical research; recruitment and training; and community health programs. Runners meet their fundraising goal through sponsorships, personal donations, and pledges from their families, friends, community, and co-workers. The program has raised more than $14.3 million for Children’s Hospital since 1996 through the efforts of more than 2,000 runners.
