BENEFITING: FALL RIVER HELPING HANDS INC
Help keep Trumpeter Swans safe! Every year, thousands of birds and other wildlife are killed by power lines, either through collision or electrocution. Miller's Pond in Teton Valley is critical wintering habitat for swans and other wildlife in eastern Idaho. Local landowners, swan activists and conservation-minded folk are working with the local electric company, Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative, to find a solution. Together, they created a unique partnership that is relocating the line through community involvement and cooperation. NRCC, along with our partner program, the Northern Rockies Trumpeter Swan Stewards, has proudly joined this important effort. With your help, more critical winter habitat will soon be Swan Safe.
