DAY TO GO
Milly Marques, a Brazilian born beauty expert, has been living in Atlanta for more than 20 years. An eyebrow guru, Milly has been transforming faces through a new technique called Microblading, a manual type of semi-permanent makeup where pigment is applied to the surface of the skin and gives any eyebrows a fuller and more symmetrical appearance.
In 2008, her mother had cancer and Milly was on a mission to find a permanent solution to the hair loss side effects of chemotherapy. She soon discovered the art of Microblading but unfortunately the technique wasn’t offered in Atlanta. Milly decided to travel the world to learn the technique to not only help her mother look and feel more beautiful, but to help all brow-challenged women and men.
With more than a decade of eyebrow shaping experience, many of Milly’s clients travel from all over the world to receive this one-of-a-kind procedure. Mily has since perfected her own unique technique to designing beautiful, natural looking eyebrows and has been recognized as a top Master Artist in Microblading. She currently works at Sweet Peach Wax & Sugaring studio in Buckhead.
Great granddaughter of a small circuit vaudeville dancer, multi-talented performer, Shane Smith, was the first in her family since to be bitten by the stage bug. As a performer, she has performed in several stage productions such as Sweet Charity, Chorus Line, Anything Goes, C'est Magnifique (Dominican Republic) and The Beatles Tribute Show (Israel.) And in Atlanta, GA, Shane has performed at the Alliance Theatre, Variety Playhouse, Horizon Theatre, Whole World Theatre, 14th Street Playhouse, The Tabernacle and Fox Theatre. As a performer to some of Atlanta’s elite, Shane has performed for the International Consular’s Ball, Ray Donato - Consulate of the Philippines, Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, Ne-Yo, Sugarland Band, Adam Sandler, Warner Bros, Bravo’s Married to Medicine, Dallas Austin, Kim Zolciak (Real Housewives of Atlanta), Keisha Knight Pulliam and Mayor Kasim Reed. But, she finds her work that brings cultures together to be the most fulfilling. Performing for cruise ships & resorts her travels have taken her through Mexico, Turkey, Israel, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Cyprus, and more. And as a samba dancer, Shane has performed for Samba Atlanta, Dance Brazil, Microsoft, Coca Cola, and the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour. “I’m incredibly grateful to everyone that has voted & supported #millyshane. And I’d especially like to thank Bubba Carr for the opportunity to be apart of such an amazing cause!”
