Hello! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
For those of you who know me, mentoring has always been a huge part of my life. Education is a huge priority for me and unfortunately, there are children out there who don't have access to such a privilege due to socioeconomic status. As a mentor, I aim to instill confidence, discipline, and motivation in my mentee. I want to bridge the gap between social justice and education reform.
For low-income students in Boston, hard-working plus high-achieving doesn't always equal opportunity. My organization, Minds Matter - Boston Chapter is changing that. Minds Matter’s mission is to transform the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success.
The stats speak for themselves. Since opening its doors in 2003, 100% of Minds Matter graduating seniors have gained admission to four-year colleges.
Examples of how your donation could help a student is listed below. Remember every dollar counts!
•$25 – food during mentoring sessions all year
•$50 – college application fee
•$100 – transportation to and from sessions for the year
•$250 – ACT tutoring for one year
•$1,000 – new laptop for college (graduating seniors)
•$2,000 – tuition and board at a top tier summer program
Thank you for visiting my fundraising site.
