Hello! This is my first year volunteering for the Minds Matter Boston Chapter.
I have had the pleasure of spending my Saturdays with Yousef, a local HS sophomore. He's super smart and really motivated to get into medicine or engineering - he even spends his time volunteering at the Museum of Science. Over 78% of the 72 students in this program will be first generation college students (including my mentee) which is what makes this especially exciting for me as I was the first in my family to go to college in America. I am excited to help support him through high school and as he applies to summer programs and colleges.

For low-income students in Boston, hard-working plus high-achieving doesn't always equal opportunity. Minds Matter is changing that.
Minds Matter’s mission is to transform the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success.
Minds Matter is a three year program that offers its students a combination of individualized mentor support, professional ACT instruction, and access to top-tier academic summer programs. The stats speak for themself. Since opening its doors in 2003, 100% of Minds Matter graduating seniors have gained admission to four year- colleges.
