Ashley Liening

THE STORY:

In February, I rescued a miniature schnauzer. Peanut was rescued from a puppy mill in Missouri. When she was rescued, her muscles had atrophied from years spent confined to a cage (she had probably never seen the light of day before November), she was malnourished, and she suffered from gum disease (as a consequence, she lost all of her teeth). Peanut is the sweetest dog you'll probably ever meet. Not only that, but she also has an awesome personality and a lot of spunk! A little love and patience goes such a long way with these rehab animals!

Peanut's not the only animal to suffer these injustices. Ever since I got Peanut from Great Lakes Mini Schnauzer Rescue, she has inspired me to want to help other rescues and shelters and there are so many who could use our help. The shelter I would like to help now is Michigan Humane Society as they also help re-home many homeless, unwanted animals dogs, cats, bunnies, and ferrets. Please share in my inspiration and join the team to support MHS. Please donate to Michigan Humane Society so we can put more animals in loving homes! (If you think about it, it's kind of like we're Superman, saving one animal at a time!)
