Mission Work for Long Island
Organized by: Hannah Dellinger
I want to let you know that God has opened a door for me to begin serving at Crossroads Church of Long Island. A lot of family will probably recognize this as the place that Kendall and Braden have been serving. I'm going to be working as an intern, which is not a full-time position. However, I will be wearing many different hats; from leading worship, to helping with media projects, and serving with mission teams, and the rest of the Crossroads staff. I'm very excited about this opportunity, as I have been praying for a very long time about a door opening such as this one.
I'm going to be serving Crossroads Church, as well as the people of Long Island. 3 million people live in Suffolk and Nassau counties on Long Island and less than 3% of them are believers. The need is huge and I'm willing to step in and do what I can to further the work of the Gospel in an area of so much need. This is where you come in. I would like to ask a couple of things of you:
1.) As I've committed to staying a year, I ask that you pray for me and the ministry I will be doing while in New York. I'm going to be far away from anything I've ever known and your prayers will help me serve with God's power.
2.) You can also partner up with me by supporting me financially. If feel led and/or have the means, I will need to raise my own support for the year that I will be there. Thankfully, God has already begun to provide by opening up housing for me, but I have other needs that need to be met such as groceries, gas, clothing, etc. I would gladly accept a one-time gift, no matter how big or small. I would also welcome any of you that could help support me monthly.
Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is appreciated. I look forward to doing God's work on Long Island and letting you know all about what God is doing. If you would like updates, I will be updating on a blog: https://hannahdellingerblog.wordpress.com/
