THE STORY:

          Mission to Namibi                                                 Kalkfeld, Namibia

HIV/Aids have left thousands of children fatherless or motherless. In many instances, these children have lost both parents. These children are living in shacks made out of anything they can find to sleep under, including bridges and garbage cans. Many young girls living on the streets are being raped, and often killed simply because of their gender. If they survive the rape, they have an 89% chance of contracting the HIV/aids. Because of their temporal situation, many of these children have little spiritual connection.  They are simply worrying about survival.  They have little in place to help them find faith in God and lose hope that someone will care.  While the government is doing all they can to care for these young children, it is an overwhelming task and assistance is needed.

Our Pastor, Reverend Garrey G. Allen, along with his wife Christina, will be going to Kalkfeld, Namibia. We believe that they have been called by God to help these Children. We will follow the scriptures, which epitomize the love and service asked of us as Christians {James 1:22-27}, {Psalms 10:14 & 82:3}, to “defend the fatherless and uphold the cause of the poor”. We will build safe and secure homes, increase their understanding of God, the teaching of Jesus and Strengthen their faith, let them `see that there are people who do care about them; we hope that by doing so they will understand that they’re loved by God and that through him, all things are possible.

Upon arriving in country, we will establish an Academy (orphanage) in which the children of this village may find safety and rest.  The vision is to build 25 homes, 1 Children’s house, a Chapel and a cafeteria to start with. Along with a vision of doing this in 4 villages and Supply solar electricity, wells and indoor plumbing. Coming in at only $200,000 per Village, we have to start somewhere. teach them to garden, raise livestock for food and income. we are their to help them, learn how to help them-self's.  we are not changing their culture, just adding to it.

God has not given a return date, so they are selling their home and possessions and will go forth and serve. As stated in {Luke 18:22} and in {Matthew 19:21}, “Go sell and give away all your possessions to the poor and follow me, and do good works for God.” Our pastor and his Wife are following his lead and answering the call of service for God.

We already have church members on the ground currently lead by our own Deacon Dirck Kuzatjike in anticipation of their arrival. Dirck is native Namibia, currently a respected editor for the local newspaper.

We have found a company that has developed a way to build homes at a lower price. The building process is a unique plastic molded technology to produce cast-in-place mortar structures. The process allows unskilled laborers to use indigenous materials to quickly and cheaply construct high standard permanent buildings that are earthquake, cyclone and tsunami resistant.

While our church is sponsoring some of this program, we can’t do this on our own. We are in the hopes that the Spirit of God, will reach you. your daily prayers are needed, your Offerings and Donations will help complete this task. We are also asking, if you feel the call to help support our Pastor and his wife, for a monthly love offering. This would be a wonderful blessing as well.
