THE STORY:

Affected by the 2016 Great Flood in the Greater Baton Rouge area. They had 5 feet of water in their home and 9 feet of water in their attached shop. Mitchell and Liz are a retired couple who worked for the State Police in Louisiana. Mitchell is a veteran that served in the Navy and is the son of a WWII veteran. Mitchell as also a veteran of the "Cajun Navy" who has helped his neighbors through numerous floods with ATV and boating assistance. Liz is wheelchair bound lost her electric wheelchair and needs assistance replacing. They recently dropped flood insurance because they have been denied claims in the past for not having enough damage.
