Did you know that 62% of all personal bankruptcies are caused by a medical crisis, most often cancer? - Steven Brill, Time Magazine, March 2013
MIU Men's Health Foundation proudly launched The Blue Fund in 2016 to help meet this need. The Blue Fund provides limited short-term financial assistance to prostate cancer patients during active treatment, easing financial stress so men can focus on healing.
What does that mean? It means relief for a prostate cancer patient who may be unable to work or working reduced hours due to the treatment that will save his life. The Blue Fund provides short term (up to three months) help, with a maximum of $1,000 per month, with utility bills, mortgage or rent, car or car insurance payment, health insurance premiums, prescription co-pays, etc. How do you choose between medicine and rent? We're here to help!
