Help build our medical fund!!!
Our small shelter has a very high intake of sick and injured animals so we are raising money for our medical fund. The McKinley County Humane Society is surrounded by 25,000 square miles of reservation which is over run with unwanted pets. Most of our animals coming in are from neglect cases, illness and injuries. We would love to be able to help more of these tough cases, but we need your help to succeed. If you've never met a rez dog they are some of the most loving, loyal, and intelligent companions.
We get animals with broken legs almost daily, due to the high population of animals living along and being dumped on major highways. We repair the ones we can, but many have to be amputated because they have been left untreated for so long. Another issue plaguing our community is parvo. With so many strays and so few getting vaccines it runs rampant. Mange and severe infestation with internal parasites are also another almost daily issue facing our animals. All of which cost a lot of money to treat.
Help us heal and rehome more of these deserving animals!
The McKinley County Humane Society would like to raise funds for medical expenses which would include, but not limited to:
Spay/neuter for homeless animals and low income families. ($65)
Treatment of broken bones. ($100-$700)
Amputation of unrepairable legs. ($700-$1200)
Mange treatment and scrapings. ($100)
Parvo treatment for puppies. ($400-$800)
Formula for orphan puppies and kittens. ($200 a litter)
Upper resporatory infections. ($100-$400)
Open wounds. ($100-300)
Hit by car injuries. ($200-??)
Please help us continue to help these deserving animals get treatment and finally experiencewhat it is like to have a loving family.
