I am so proud of my mentee, Melissa! She is a strong leader with a good heart. Currently a junior, her accomplishments thus far have been: sophomore class president, volleyball varsity member, soccer varsity member, softball junior varsity member, summer study attendee at University of Colorado Boulder, and Scripps College Academy participant.
A firm believer that no one succeeds alone, Melissa recognizes the help she's received along the way and finds ways to give back. At home, she is a positive role model for her younger sister. At her high school, she mentors freshmen. She hopes to make an impact on a global scale by traveling to Costa Rica this summer for a community service project.
Your donation can help Melissa reach her goals. Please contribute today!
Some words from our President, Tina Admans:
Minds Matter of Los Angeles has received a fundraising challenge of $7,500 from a generous donor. In order to receive this donation, we need to raise a matching amount before December 31st, 2012.
At this time of the year, we give thanks to all who have helped Minds Matter of Los Angeles become a successful program. We can only do this through the continued generosity of supporters like you. Please consider making a donation and helping us reach our goal.
