Mammoth Medical Missions

Mammoth Medical Missions was one of the first medical teams on the ground in Leyte Province, Philippines, in the wake of Super Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. With a team of 16 medical volunteers and support staff, working in a makeshift field hospital in the roofless town hall in Tanauan, we were able to treat 157 cases within the first 3-6 days after the storm's landfall, delivering 11 babies (two by C-section) and saving dozens of lives.

Mammoth Medical Missions (MMM) is a secular, nonprofit, non-governmental volunteer organization based in Mammoth Lakes, California, that provides medical, surgical, dental, and general health-care relief to underserved rural and mountain communities worldwide, as well as rapid emergency medical response and field triage in case of large-scale disaster and/or mass casualty.
